So sorry to hear that. The main thing is just to look after yourself. Keep things as normal as you can, make sure you get out and about when you can, get some regular exercise, make sure you have a good balanced diet. Everyone's different, and everyone's experience is different, but keeping a good baseline of dietary and exercise health may give you just the lift you need and help tackle whatever life chucks at you! (As well as being really good for your all-round health anyway). Unfortunately medicine contains a lot of scary words and phrases, 'hormone therapy' being one of them, try to focus on what it will accomplish for you rather than how it sounds. You may find once you find your groove you'll feel able to cope with anything, and in no time at all you'll be skating alongside a beach in Miami, being pulled along by two dalmatians (hey, like I said, everyone's different!)

I'm very concerned about the health risks associated with early menopause. I am 47 and I was recently diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and, after completing my radiation, will likely be undergoing hormone therapy, which will probably end my periods. Is there anything you can suggest to prepare my body for this daunting challenge?
